lagilman: coffee or die (caffeine)
Occasionally (usually in warmer weather) I go through periods where I am a morning person. And by morning I mean 4am in the morning, hello, awake and not cranky about it. It probably sounds horrible to most of you, but there are compensations. Like getting things done in the pre-dawn stillness, before distractions come into the world. And waking to the silhouette of Boomerang reclining in a dark window, listening to the birds gossiping outside.

(the moment he realized I was awake he came over to visit, thereby ruining the moment, but it was a small slice of visual perfection for that brief moment).

And now, awake and with some visual poetry to start the day, it's off to work I go, secure in the knowledge that I can take a nap later, if needed. But for now, the morning is mine!

EtA: words that probably should not be said/heard all that often: "please don't drool on the keyboard, m'darling."

*what? it's a comfy bed! sheesh, you people....

We're under a tornado watch.

That would...explain a lot, actually.

Wind had been picking up all afternoon, but the sky was merely overcast with occasional sun. Thunder started about fifteen minutes ago, and suddenly someone turned out the lights. I got the windows closed just before the rain started -- it's currently lashing at the windows like it's pissed it can't get in.

Our first thunderstorm of the season. *is gleeful* I suspect we're in for a night of rolling rain fronts.

Update: Yep, looks to be rolling fronts. This is going to be fun, she said without a trace of sarcasm.

(and of course, ten minutes before I get an e-mail -- "wanna go out tonight?" Excellent timing, C. Really. :-P )

I love Angela's dad.

You either know what I'm talking about, or you don't.

*grins*

Also, "there are no time-outs during an arrest!"

EtA: OMG! *giggles* Now that's MY kind of a wedding. All party, no service.

EtA2: OMG! Bones-withdrawal! I haven't been in show-withdrawal since season 4 BtVS!

is it very wrong of me that all I could think was "damn, those commuters are going to be pissed as hell at how long that train's going to be held up?"

And anyone who didn't see the non-case ending coming hasn't been paying attention. Go, mom!

EtA: okay, THAT surprised me. although not as much as if it had been someone else.

Right. Going back to work now.
