So, I had an entire post talking about the plusses and minuses of my day, nothing wildly exciting unless you're me, and then I got word that friends of mine have lost much if not all of their belongings, including the family dog, in a house fire.

And, y'know? Not much I can write about after that matters so much.

I'm just thankful the two-legged family is safe. Things can be replaced, even beloved pets pass on before us in the normal scheme of things. Peoples? Safe is good. Safe is best.

Family fires are never any fun. Learned a lot of that when I was younger with two house fires.
