So, I had an entire post talking about the plusses and minuses of my day, nothing wildly exciting unless you're me, and then I got word that friends of mine have lost much if not all of their belongings, including the family dog, in a house fire.

And, y'know? Not much I can write about after that matters so much.

I'm just thankful the two-legged family is safe. Things can be replaced, even beloved pets pass on before us in the normal scheme of things. Peoples? Safe is good. Safe is best.

I too am curious if they are located in the tri-state area, if there's anything that can be done to assist...

They're not local, no, but I suspect the extended community will be doing what they can.... updates as I get 'em.

Family fires are never any fun. Learned a lot of that when I was younger with two house fires.

I'm so sorry. Fires are terrible. I'm sorry that they lost their dog. I would be devastated if I lost my Shadow to fire. But at least they are alright.
