Is the election over yet?

How about now?

Now?

...Now?

I'm seriously considering going straight home from work and just reading a book until I fall asleep on Election Night (unless I need to detour to drop off my ballot, but I'm going to try and do that this coming week), just because otherwise I'll go insane tracking the results. And refusing to turn on the netbook to check the results from bed. :P

Also, has anyone mentioned the new(ish) song by MGMT, "Electric Feel"? I heard it again tonight and thought of Wren and Sergei.

It ain't over till I say it's over. Then it's over.

It's over.

PS: McCain doesn't know it. Don't tell him. Let's just watch and see how long it takes him to realize it. We could even start a pool.:)

I know just what you mean! I did my early voting yesterday. I couldn't stand all the political commercials before. Now they seem extra-extraneous. (Like they were going to change my mind anyway. Nothing but obnoxious rhetoric you have to read the truth about anyway.)

I live in Oregon. I voted last Saturday.

Can we just stop the ads now?

But it's a wonderful soap opera! And unlike other soap operas, it's not predictable.

I voted last week. Absentee ballot. For me it is over. HUGE relief.

Do what I did and find a radio station run by high schoolers! No political ads, a lot of bouncy music. It's heaven, I tell you. Heaven!

And even though we too vote via absentee ballot, the commercials go on. Really, find yourself a station run by kids. You'll be better for it.

I have seldom seen a political post on lj that I agreed with more. *grumbles about my home state not having early voting*
