Some good news...

Got word this morning that Free Fall has gone into a second printing. Yay!

(A sad thing about Luna/Harlequin is that getting information out of them is like getting tax return statements from Mrs. McCain. I suspect less disinclination-to-share and more no-clue-what-third-hand-is-doing. But frustrating, nonetheless -- especially when it's good news!)


And now, back to the salty salt mines...

That's such a great cover. I knew I wanted to buy it, but sadly couldn't remember the name of the author or title of the book. Then I notice your icon and I'm off to my local Indigo to get my copy!

Now before I do, is this part of a series that I should buy other books first or is it a stand alone?

It is part of a series, and normally I'd tell you to get STAYING DEAD first, but until the reprint comes through* it's only available in e-book format (which is a fine format, but I understand preferring hardcopy). Therefore, I'd suggest starting with CURSE THE DARK [which is where a lot of the 5-book story arc really kicks in], then BRING IT ON, BURNING BRIDGES, and then FREE FALL.

Hrm. Anyone up for a "in previous chapters" rehash, to lead into FREE FALL? Anyone want to write it for me, since I'm on deadline? *hopeful eyebrow-raise*


*strike a blow for readers -- e-mail Luna at customer_ecare@harlequin.ca and tell them you'd love to buy a copy as soon as the reprint comes through, thanksmuch and get moving, already!

I can't get it for you right now (at Origins) but when I was in my local Barnes and Noble, they did have a mass market copy of Staying Dead.

If I was still editing Crescent Blues you could. Don't know what the protocol is for former editors--especially when the magazine has gone to archive. You're welcome to it, regardless. Just don't know how much good it will do you until HBO options a series or something. :D

Congrats on the second printing. I saw a copy in our local Barnes & Noble. One of the things I love about LJ is the new authors I've been able to discover.

So, Staying Dead is set for reprinting? Any idea when? You're on my to be read list, and I really would prefer to start at book 1.

How weird that they don't give you that kind of information... doesn't the contract cover some sort of numbers disclosure?

Anyhow, congrats on it doing so well, I thought/think it was/is your best one!
