Got a lovely e-mail yesterday from Mirna Denic at Rendezvous Bookstore in Australia, mentioning that they will be carrying FREE FALL (and have my entire backlist) in stock, for those of you Down Under who might be looking. http://www.rendezvousbooks.com is their main site, and this should take you directly to my page for ordering.

As many of you know, I adore indie bookstores, and love to give 'em plugs (especially Pandemonium in MA, and Mysterious Galaxy in San Diego!). Dear State of Connecticut DMV: I have moved. I registered with the NYS DMV. I no longer own the car you are trying to bill me to register. Get a clue!

Dear Dell: You make great computers. They're like the Timex of laptops. Your battery chargers, however? Notsomuch. The replacement you sent is dead. Send me a new one, plz.

Re CT DMV: good luck with that one. And also, good luck trying to convince the City of New Haven to stop sending you tax bills for the car you no longer own, payable to the city you no longer live in. (It took me a solid decade to straighten out the debacle wherein West Haven tried to extract money out of me for the car I bought a solid year *after* I moved away.)

The really amusing thing is that they sent it to the wrong address in New Haven, it was forwarded on to the 'right' address, and then forwarded on to me in New York. *facepalm* Nice to know the Post Awful, at least, is on the job....
