Bridge of Birds is one of my favorite books, ever. The phrase "with a small flaw in his character" is a family byword, except somehow I think we never gave it to kradical to read. Listen to your sister, and go forth and read. This is a wondrous fine book.

This is fabulous! My copies of One and Two are falling apart, and I never found three. Never understood why BH seemed to vanish in thin air either. I wish he'd written more about anything.

1. $38 for an omnibus of three novels, almost 700 pages of reading. That's about 5 cents a page!

2. and in euros, it's even less expensive.

Bridge of Birds (the first book) is worth far more than a mere $38, by itself. So, not only a bargain, but the other two books are free. What's not to like?

Thanks for help spreading the word. Little did you or John O'Neill know that, when we were all sitting at the dinner table at World Fantasy Con last year that you were both huge fans of this book. John's gone on about it for so long last year I finally broke down and bought the omnibus to read for myself -- though with a new job and other time challenges I haven't managed to read much of anything but short story collections, so it sits (mostly) unread on my shelf.

I'll pass on the news to John, and read the thing myself to see if need to put a leather bound copy on my wish list.

Bridge of Birds is one of my all-time favorites (I bounced when I saw the name Hughart in your journal-- I was just talking about him yesterday). I didn't care much for the two sequels though. I always thought that they lacked the same enthusiasm and freshness of his first.

I loved the Story of the Stone! I bought all three as they came out new, and gave them around to friends and left for bookcrossings, and bought the 3 volume omnibus. One Eyed Wong's is classic!

I was so happy to find that omnibus. The second volume was impossible to find.
