randomness from my life:

Mailman just delivered two copies (one of them hella beat-up) of the Australian edition of STAYING DEAD. Hopefully it won't take another four years for the rest of the books to be available as not-imports Down Under...

Meanwhile, closing in on the end of revisions for BLOOD FROM STONE, thank god. 1 March is still the projected start date for Bonnie #1.

Started the e-Bites story DREAMCATCHER last night. 500 words in, 9,500 to go...

Client job still on schedule, despite my taking the afternoon off yesterday to take a long walk and get my hair cut.

Got my Lunacon schedule, but some panels are in conflict, so I have to do some thinking about what I want to do more.

Oh, and here's an unnerving yet interesting e-mail to get from your sister:

"did you know that the island of Kaui'i is home to thousands of feral chickens with no known predator? Movie to follow."

One of my friends has a story about her family, where a younger sibling asked her mother what the word 'ubiquitous' meant, and the mother asked for context. "In Africa, chickens are ubiquitous." was the sentence, and the mom was like, "Oh, it means 'covered in feathers.'"

Since hearing that story, any time I encounter the word ubiquitous, I always try the sentence again with 'covered in feathers," and I have to say, it really livens things up.
