randomness from my life:

Mailman just delivered two copies (one of them hella beat-up) of the Australian edition of STAYING DEAD. Hopefully it won't take another four years for the rest of the books to be available as not-imports Down Under...

Meanwhile, closing in on the end of revisions for BLOOD FROM STONE, thank god. 1 March is still the projected start date for Bonnie #1.

Started the e-Bites story DREAMCATCHER last night. 500 words in, 9,500 to go...

Client job still on schedule, despite my taking the afternoon off yesterday to take a long walk and get my hair cut.

Got my Lunacon schedule, but some panels are in conflict, so I have to do some thinking about what I want to do more.

Oh, and here's an unnerving yet interesting e-mail to get from your sister:

"did you know that the island of Kaui'i is home to thousands of feral chickens with no known predator? Movie to follow."

Speaking of randomness (and I'm officially freaked by the chicken thing) did you get your meerkat picture?

Quite all right. Just wanted to make sure, as the picture was made of The Cute and was not to be missed. *g*

One of my friends has a story about her family, where a younger sibling asked her mother what the word 'ubiquitous' meant, and the mother asked for context. "In Africa, chickens are ubiquitous." was the sentence, and the mom was like, "Oh, it means 'covered in feathers.'"

Since hearing that story, any time I encounter the word ubiquitous, I always try the sentence again with 'covered in feathers," and I have to say, it really livens things up.

That's the kind of random factoid I'd get from my sister. Or, really, she from me. *g*

Today's random factoid from my life: *everything* in London is frickin' EXPENSIVE. Jeebus.

I had a pint of "London's Pride" ale this evening, and at first I thought "oh cool, 3.80!" Then I did the math. And I could hear New York chuckling smugly to itself all the way from here. :P

For many, many reasons, I'm *so* ready to go home in the morning...

And the thought of chicken viagra is just... really bad. Really, really bad.

I'm really trying to restrain myself from some toilet humor here...

For the record, I did not go there first!

Ah, I remember earlier in the year (or late last year) alerting you to the prominent presence of Staying Dead in chain stores :-)

Have a lovely day! :-)
