In less serious pet-related news, I dreamed last night that I adopted a samoyed puppy. I don't remember the feline reactions, but the puppy was a bundle of sweetness and made me very happy. And it all happened on some beach/shoreline town somewhere while I was out on a date, which was very strange. The setting I mean, not...well, the date was strange, too... dogs are better thn dating? Very true...

(I like dogs but don't have a dog-friendly lifestyle, so actually [intentionally] adopting one isn't going to happen.)

LOL...Samoyed's are cute when they are little, but they shed everywhere and grow up to be HUGE.

Get a Doberman...they don't shed and when they grow up....no one will mess with you or your stuff.

I had a Sammie/Shetie mix when I was a teenager -- loved that dog. I know alllll about fur and the shedding (and grooming) thereof, trust me.

That warning showed up on my Pap newsgroup, a few days ago and again on the news this morning. Still haven't heard what's causing the problem, though. Have you? We use Pedigree, which hasn't shown up on the list, but I'm tempted to go straight kibble for a while. The dogs are not amused.

Nobody seems to know, butmoney seems to be on an infection in the gluten additives Menu Foods supplies to a lot of pet food producers.

My kids get Purina canned crack, er, kitty food, which isn't on the list. *phew*. But yeah, I'm going to keep them on the dry stuff for all meals, for the time being. Tomorrow morning is going to be interesting...
