Um. Right. B&N, check. Amazon, check. Walden, check. Target (and Wal-Mart, too), check check check... Sorry, Tracy, my publisher's got that covered already.

Sheesh. Spam for breakfast. And it's not even crispy-fried, looks-like-it-might-be-worth-a-nibble kind of Spam, either!

Definitely spam, since I've stopped counting how many writers tell me they have gotten this.

Definitely clueless, with regard to how trade book distribution works.

I give them points for personalizing each message with the actual title of one of the writer's books. Of course, in my case, they singled out "Atlanta Nights", so that told me something right off the bat.

What's the email address? I've got this Star Wars novel I want to get onto Amazon. Just for my family and friends to see, of course...

VendorPro, "Your Roadmap to the Wholesale Industry"?! How does that even have anything to do with books? Like B&N would even read their junk mail!

*Rummages through website* Ah, there we go - it costs $340 per year to be a seller. Buyers all have to be registered too. What a waste of time! Why would a bookseller even bother with this when they've got publishers climbing all over them to get them to sell their books?

Bet some people will fall for it, though. Pity.

But, really... who doesn't like your books? Those are the people of whom I'd be suspicious.

hmmmm. Maybe they'd have more success fooling people if they didn't have "Spam Me" in their web address? *facepalm*

Snap. Got it too.

Same reaction here.

Oh, funny though, they didn't use "Staying Dead" in mine.
