Watching. Waiting. Wondering.
Jan. 30th, 2005 10:10 amPretty much sums it up. No idea what's really happening in Iraq, but hoping that the cautiously optimistic headlines (essentially: "fewer deaths, more votes than expected") are true.
If a reasonable democracy is to take root after so long, the results are less important than the action. Even if the end result isn't a 'friendly' government.
We'll see.
Edited to add: And the polls have closed, although overseas voting continues. I hope they have better luck counting those than we did.

As a change of pace, in between news updates, I'm watching Robin Williams: Live at the Met. Because the world needs to laugh at itself more.
