A Call for Beta-Readers

I have A Project. It is an unsold project. It is...a different project. It is the thing I refer to on Twitter as "Operation Oy."

I'm writing it in the stolen hours between other projects, and I need people - more than two, less than seven - who are willing to read along and give solid feedback, knowing that this won't be a "here's a hundred pages every week" scenario. More like "here's fifty pages" every month.

However, it might also go faster than that. I don't know.

So, basically, what a volunteer is saying is "I am eager to beta-read a project that may take the rest of the year to complete."

Leftovers by Design

Earlier this week, when I was too sick to eat, I nonetheless had a catfish filet that needed to be cooked (I hate freezing fresh fish, it tastes all wrong, after). So I did a quick almond-milk-and-cornmeal dredge, pan cooked it, and shoved it in the fridge.

Tonight, I made brown rice, then tossed a sliced zucchini, several (ok, 5) cloves of garlic, and a mincing of duck fat from last night's duck breasts, and sauteed it until the zukes were golden-soft, then added the catfish filet, chopped coarse. Served over brown rice, it's not entirely healthy (see: duck fat) but close enough as makes no nevermind.

The only problem with it, is that, even with a green salad, it's sort of...monochrome. So I added a glass of red wine.

Nom.


(my first wine since...Saturday! Eeeek. I am woefully out of shape for Lunacon this weekend...)
