waiting for Irene, who apparently missed the memo about losing power when she hit ground, because the hurricane warning is reportedly being extended all the way up to Nova Scotia.
So far, occasional rain and gusts of wind. Nothing to get excited about, but that will change in a few hours.
I'm home, dry and safe, and really rather annoyed at the people on the news saying they'll stay put because "it's only a CAT 1." People, it's a HURRICANE. You are soft and squishy. A signpost/tree limb/small car going 70mph through the air is NOT.
SRSLY.
Everyone south along the line ok? Everyone north tucked in safe?
