Me! Today! Last Chance before 2010!

If you're in Westchester/Bronx/Northern NJ area today and want to do some last-minute gift-shopping, a signed book is always a nice idea, very easy to wrap* -- and you'll be able to do some good with your purchase, too!

The Yonkers Public Library and Barnes & Noble are running a bookfair to raise funds for the library, and I'll be doing my part, signing from 3:30 to 4:30 today!

Well, despite torrential downpour and and some promotion difficulties, I am told I made a respectable showing today at the library bookfair singing at B&N -- 6 hardcovers in an hour. Not giving any of the bestsellers a sweat, but I'll take it.

Also got to give a pep talk to a 20-something MFA student who was feeling the litcrit doldrums. So for that alone I call it a win.

Thanks to Lori P, who was a Hero of the Revolution for trekking me there and back, and Shana for inviting me to come play. Always a delight to hang with librarians!


Now, ( dinner )
