lagilmanWell, despite torrential downpour and and some promotion difficulties, I am told I made a respectable showing today at the library bookfair singing at B&N -- 6 hardcovers in an hour. Not giving any of the bestsellers a sweat, but I'll take it.
Also got to give a pep talk to a 20-something MFA student who was feeling the litcrit doldrums. So for that alone I call it a win.
Thanks to Lori P, who was a Hero of the Revolution for trekking me there and back, and Shana for inviting me to come play. Always a delight to hang with librarians!
Now, dinner, which was, if you're interested, my gingered butternut squash soup, pan-baked terriyaki chicken, and a green salad, and back to the copyedit. Deadline or...well, dead!
