lagilman: coffee or die (dreams)
Made waffles for breakfast today, served up with raspberry sauce instead of the evil-to-me maple syrup. Refrained from overeating beyond my two-waffle capacity, mainly 'cause I know I can have the leftovers for lunch. Now curled up in a carb-induced coma, sipping that gift of the gods, constant comment tea and waiting to get my brain into writing mode…

Also made stir-fry for dinner last night. Details here. )>

And here’s my fortune for the weekend:

Yeah yeah that’s what they all say.

And I have discovered that there are jobs that I just can’t take, for reasons of self-preservation. Saw this ad on a board yesterday:

And in other news, “Serpent’s Rock” (the short story I’ve been working on) is done. I am halfway through my proof-read. I’m up to chapter nine (with chapter ten drafted out) on Retrievers #2 and a) I’m where I should be world-count-wise, and b) I think maybe it doesn’t suck. A radio interview excerpt with Ian Anderson, saying how when he was growing up he wanted to be a cop, or an artist, or maybe a gynocologist. "That's the career for me!" Because he has, after all, practiced a little. And they ended it with "I've kept my hand in, a little."

*snortle* I needed that giggle.

And my office is clean! Yay me!

Damn. Now I have to either clean the bathrooms, or get to work. Decisions, decisions...

When I opened this livejournal I wanted to hear from everyone who had a thought on my thoughts.

In light of this morning's rather badly-thought-out and distasteful spam attack 'promoting' the new Mel Gibson movie, I've had to reconsider that philoophy.

For the moment, at least, only registered users will be able to reply to this journal.

If you're a reader who isn't registered, drop me an e-mail at wrensergei at lycos-dot-com and I'll get you hooked up with a code. It's free, it's easy, it's addictive...
