Today was a lovely day, given over to squring visiting desperance and his K around Seattle, me playing Junior Tour Guide to longer-term resident scarlettina.  We did the Theo's chocolate factory tour (nom), and visited the Chittendon Locks, and the Fishermans' Terminal, and had excellent food, and wine, and caught up on too much time since last we all saw each other.

And now I am behind in all the work-things, but that's okay.  There will be time to catch up on those things, and never regretting time spent with good friends.

I admit, I'm quite pleased with how these came out, although I wish I'd more time to set some of them up (we were literally walking through a garden, and my companions kpt walking when I stopped to take a shot. I'll need to get back there soonish...)

It does look pretty. We are likely to be going to Sasquan after all, which means we may well be Seattle -- hopefully we'll get to see you! (Are you going to Sasquan itself?)

You two were totally the best tour guides; thank you so much. Also, how come you got to take all those cool photos while squiring, and I never had time even to take out my camera...?

Aye that. It's why I really need to go everywhere twice: once to look at the thing, and once to look for the photographs. Sometimes I opt not to carry a camera at all, because I can get really resentful at the way it changes the dynamic of being there; if the camera's out, my relationship is with the camera, not with wherever-we-are. This may be another reason why I'm really not a photographer.

I had to each myself to put the camera down and wait for the moment, so I could remember it as well as look at it later, yeah.
