Mills & Boon (my UK publisher for the “Anna Leonard” books) sent me copies of THE HUNTED. Specifically, they sent me two sets each of three copies – one a digest paperback (small) one a normal paperback, and one a trade-sized “large print” edition.

I’m keeping one of each for my shelves, but that still leaves me with another set. So hey, time for a contest! If you’d like a copy (3 copies, actually) of my alter-ego’s tale of suspense, sex, and selkies on the New England coast, tell me what you’d do with the large print edition (keep it, give it to a friend who won’t admit she needs reading glasses, donate it to your Raunchy Grannies Reading Club, etc). One winner from the entries will be chosen by the Oracular Cat method.

Entries will be accepted until midnight (Eastern) on Thursday, May 19th.

EtA: for those wondering about my other Anna Leonard titles, they're all available digitally from Your Local Retailer.

I'd read it at the gym, as the large print format is a help when I'm on the elliptical machine!

I'd try it out for myself, since I'm at that lovely age where I dance between bifocals, prescription readers, and nothing when I read. I may need to be edging into large print. Otherwise, I'd donate it to the small rural library near the school where I work. The library where I live is much better funded; I work with one of the rural librarians. Odds are it'll get passed around and enjoyed in their circles.

An LP copy would either be given to a friend or donated to the library down the road because everyone needs a little more love in their life.

I would read it first, let any friends read it, and then donate it to my local library.

(Random flutters to attract cat attention - in other words, just mildly stacking the deck :)

Like [livejournal.com profile] joycemocha, I'm nearing the point where the LP edition is the one I might hold onto; that said, of a set of three, one I'd keep, one I'd pass to a particular reading-colleague of long standing, and the third would be either donated (if I can find a local library that would circulate it rather than putting it in its rummage sale) or offered as a free! giveaway! item! at the genre-fiction bookstore reading group I co-moderate.

I'd keep it for myself so that when I reach the point of denying that I need reading glasses at least I'll have one book to read. :)

I would definitely keep the large print. :D

I started getting them from my library a few years ago because the wait time was shorter; to my dismay, they were much easier to read. My eye doc wants me to switch to bifocals, but I'm resisting, lol.

Keep the small paperback for myself. Donate the other two to my library. The county cut it funds. :(

I would hug it and pet it and squeeze it and call it "George."

But regardless, Oracular Cat Method is my new band name.

I would grovel to have it autographed & then after reading it happily put it on dislpay as part of my autographed book collection.

If I win,you can send it to my parents' address in Maine. I would keep it because I'm older enough now to appreciate large print.

What to do with the large print edition

I would autograph it, as follows: To Topper, the world's most amazing horse! Then I would give it to Topper, a star in my new novel A COWBOY ON THE LOOSE IN LONDON, so he can brush up on his reading.

I would read it, give it a home next to Bonnie, and loan it out to friends. (And somewhere in there, the cat would have to sniff and mark it so it would fit with the rest of my library.)

oohh!
