For those who might be interested in the evil amusement of watching me detox off caffeine for 48 hours, I'm painblogging the entire experience on Twitter (@LAGilman) and Facebook.

Why? it's actually for medical reasons -- trying to track down a trigger -- but also it's something I try to do every year or so. Painful but useful. And it reminds me never to take my ability to tight-focus for granted. *winces*

I'm currently on Day 2 of a 3-day apple fast. Once I survive this, it's on to a no-starch diet that theoretically could last for the rest of my life. I'm already questioning just how much I want to live in a world without bread, pasta, cake or potatoes.
