EtA: word is that Leverage just got renewed for a third season. I have adjusted my icon accordingly.
Woke up early, got some work in, then went into Manhattan to pick up various bits and pieces (an antique stool, bookcases, a tabletop fountain, wine) from various locations. Home for lunch, and then an afternoon of work, plus Installation of Bookcase.
I feel, almost, like I'm finally back in the post-WorldCon, post-illness, post-birthday flow.
Just in time to go to DragonCon next week. *sigh*
meanwhile:
Leverage: THAT'S what I'm talking about!
(yeah, I'm sure on rewatch I'll see problems, and I personally think that there's more connection between Nate and Elliot than Sober!Nate/reformed!Sophie, but I was cackling and fist-pumping and loving on the competence in this episode. Matching them up against equal players was as much fun as expected, and I didn't see the penultimate ending at all [I did see the final ending, yeah, because there was no way they'd let the bad guys actually gt away with it, not either one of them]. Also, I loved loved loved the "fight scenes." Homage or in-joke-- you decide. Two more episodes to go before we're in the mid-season wasteland....)
And now I get to fill bookcase shelves. I love this part....

Date: 2009-08-27 04:04 am (UTC)I have decided, on reflection, that as much as I loved the entire episode, the games they played with the Eliot/Israeli scenes were the best part, both the "cinema noir" takes on their fight scenes, and the Obligatory Wet Stripdown for both of 'em. Too funny, and yet well-blocked, too.
