I do like the approach they're taking. It's predictable, but well-done, and plays to the reality set up in season 1.

First of all, if you're new here, Suri's Law is simple: identify yourself. If you don't have an LJ account, and don't want to use open id, then sign your name at the bottom of your post so people know who they're talking to. In addition to being Suri's Law, it's also just basic manners. I see an unclaimed post, and my immediate reaction is "why should I talk to someone who won't show their face?"

However.

The line you query is a quote (hence the quote marks) from the season opener of Leverage, possibly my favorite quote from the episode, and used to identify the topic for people who have also seen it.

If you haven't seen the show, I could explain the context but it would take a full screen and you probably still wouldn't get why it was so funny.

In season 1, Parker often commented that Nate's metaphors were creepy (specifically in the "Glengarry Glen Dead" scam, off the top of my head). Her comment in the season opener was that, wow, it wasn't the booze that was making him creepy, he really thinks that way even when he's sober.

it was a very nice bit of continuity, of character-building for both Parker and Nate, and the delivery of the line was (IMO) hysterical.
