I remember the Revolution of 1979, but it was so far away, then. Now... it's much closer. That's a good thing, I believe... but a terrifying one, too.

Thank you for the link. A few I had already seen, but a couple really stood out to me.

1. The women coming to the aid of a man being beaten.
2. A supporter helping one of the injured policeman.

Powerful images. Between them and some of the comments? Heartbreaking and scary.

Home to grab a quick bite and a nap before heading back in. The pattern I'm seeing resembles that in China right before Tiamenin Square. Kick the media out then massacure the protestors. Hope I'm wrong. On the other hand, senior clerics have issued fatwas against the vote, high-ranking army officers have said that they will not fire on their own people, and Rafsanjani has called a meeting of the Council of Experts, which is the only body that has the power to remove Khatemei.

Stay tuned and keep fingers crossed...

It's true. Twitter said they held off as long as they could before they absolutely had to shut down for maintenance.

I left Iran at the end of May 1978. I was there for the Grumman F-14 project
