two things, housekeeping edition
Jun. 15th, 2009 11:39 pm1. To the person who posted in another thread -- I appreciate a good rant as much as the next person, especially if you're singing a tune I know. But suri's first law is that people must sign their names if they don't have an LJ or open source account -- it's only polite to introduce yourself when you join a conversation, ne? Especially if you're coming in with the flamethrower turned to High.
So I'm not going to unscreen your comment until you come back and claim it.
2. I see that we have a bunch of new people who snuck in while I was distracted. Welcome, new people! Feel free to fix yourself a drink, find a comfy chair[tm], introduce yourselves and say how you got here, or just lurk quietly. This is an interactive journal and all opinions are valid, so long as you show your work, and show respect for those who disagree [in events of surliness I reserve the right to beat everyone with a rolled-up manuscript and/or freeze the thread]. Also, questions are always welcome, especially when I proclaim an 'Open Thread' post. If I don't have a good answer I will do my best to create an entertaining lie.

Introductions
Date: 2009-06-17 11:15 pm (UTC)My name's Jamie, I'm a writer working to get published as opposed to the original "I'm An Aspiring Writer" in the beginning. I've been writing since I was 9 and have more faith in my writing abilities based on my responses that I have gotten on LJ and Myspace. :) The writers are so kind and they are honest in their words and a great inspiration for me to keep going with my writing to get published like they are. :)
I found your LJ through writers and friends of Varkat, RachelCaine, Blue_Succubus, FaithHunter. I'm also a member of Fangs_Fur_Fey. :)
I find your LJ to be helpful in my continual pursuit of writing as a career. Though I'm working on other things, writing is always there for me to do and give me the peace that I need on a daily basis. :)
Nice to meet you on LJ.
Jamie
