lagilmanI was sitting in the HR office at Putnam-Berkley, waiting to be escorted to my desk, to begin working for my new boss, the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Putnam.
Neil wasn't quite sure what to make of me -- he was more used to the traditional Trust Fund Babes of Publishing. I suppose it was fated that we only work together for six months, before I jumped sideways to the mass market division,
and from there on to genre infamy.
What a long strange road it still is. *grin*
(there's a disagreement about if I can still count as being "in publishing." Does freelancing count?)
