Although the reason (a death in the family) that I was puppy-sitting for an extended period was not great, spending the time with Mei-Chan was quite wonderful. No, I'm not going to spam you with pictures, mainly because she looks much the same as before, just a percentage larger.
Also attended the first Interstitial Arts Foundation salon on Thursday night, where I not only caught up with old friends but met a lot of amazing visual artists as well. Hopefully these salons will continue [and spread to other cities].
[aside: walking home after reminded me that no matter how much I love NYC in the daylight -- and I do -- it becomes almost another city at night. The city itself doesn't change -- but the people do. I think there's a story in that, as soon as I figure it out...]
But am home now, transferring files from netbook to desktop, reassuring the felines that no, I haven't Left them forEVer (drama queens have nothing on drama catz), and contemplating the qualities of a nap versus getting some word count down...
If we could only figure out how to type reliably while napping, my life would be complete.
Oh, and the first ARC of FLESH AND FIRE has appeared on ebay, in case anyone was interested (I don't recommend it myself, since you're encouraging the sale of material clearly labeled NOT FOR RESALE, but some folk like to have it First. No, it's not going to be a collectible. Not in my lifetime or after. Really.)

Yeah, that's her blue eye reflecting red, not some mad alien infestation...I hope.... Muppet-puppy is still muppety, even at 11 pounds. She has also developed a small, deep bark, heard only when wrassling with other dogs (or Big Sister)
