I'm not sure which was more delightful: her performance, or the sight of Simon with a blissful expression on his face, aware that he was being wooed by a magnificent performance out of the most unpreposing package imaginable.

Never to late to dream -- especially if you have the talent to match the determination.

her voice is just amazing -- and her poise, cheeking off to Simon and never missing a beat until she collapsed in relief after... just wow. If nothing else, Pixar should pick her up for voice talent, stat. She would so rock a musical version of...pretty much anything.

I don't watch much reality tv, except flipping by, but I don't think I've ever seen him look as happy as he was sitting there with his chin in his hands smiling toward the end of her song. That was so cool. *beams more*

Yeah -- Simon plays the schmuck and may in fact be a schmuck, but even if he was only thinking "my god I need to sign her up before anyone else does" it was clear he was thrilled to be hearing such an unexpected talent, in that way that something beautiful is Joy [not Truth, but Joy].

Britain loves the underdog, and in this case, you can see why. Because they were smirking, and they obviously thought that here was some dowdy middle aged woman whom they could make a fool out of. I was *so* glad to see them proved wrong. Go her.
