Bad thing: my 'new' antique watch fell when I was putting it on this morning and the face cracked. I have no idea if it can be fixed or not. I'm really depressed about that. (edit: it was the crystal, actually. And there is hope on that front. But I'll always know that it's a plastic replacement and not the original, and that still depresses. My poor beautiful Deco watch...)

Good thing: Pandora, who was exhibting worrisome health indicators, seems to be doing better. I am much relieved.

Amusing thing: In conversation in the office today, my age was guessed at "late 20's, early 30's." Since I'm going to be 37 in a few months, this made me laugh. And I really needed to laugh this week.

And the thing that will make people happy is that I'll (finally!) be psoting pledge-fic this weekend!


After I go take a nap. I badly need a nap. And a complete blood change-out and a variety of other things, but I'll settle for the nap.

I would think the watch face can be fixed, she said encouragingly. If you have an antique store you frequent and trust, they may know jewelers who specifically do repair work on antiques. Or just ask the Usual Pro Jewelers what they'd recommend, maybe.

Glad Pandora (bad Pandora, scaring her human like that!(grin)) is feeling better.

I snicker knowingly at the age-confusion, since you and I are the same age and I get that all the time as well.

Funny, I get that too. I think it comes from keeping my hair long and unstyled. And I've been 37 since the first of the year. [grumble]

Re plastic watch face replacement. Hrmmm. Is there a possibility of getting a junk watch from the same time period and stripping the crystal off that?
