As mentioned in an earlier post, an ode for all long-suffering literary agents, to the tune of "She's Tired" from the late, great, politically incorrect movie Blazing Saddles, as performed by the late, great and wonderfully funny Madeleine Kahn:

I've read 1000's of submissions
Again and again
They promise the 'da bomb'

And still spell my name wrong
Right readers?

But they don’t check my guideline
And the format’s all wrong.

any excuse to watch Blazing Saddles is a good excuse, methinks....

(and they're not censoring the chili scene any more, I suspect due tot he outrage that move invoked...because, seriously. Of all the things that could be offensive in that movie, fart jokes are the least of it!)

That was great. I had to "sing" it to my mom. She loved it too :). Of course the tune is now stuck in my head...
