I did, actually, since it was either that or sleep sitting up...

Goal today is to make a good-sized dent in chapter 7, then print out what I have so far and mark it up ruthlessly, to prepare for the mid-book rev-up, Big Fail, and Repercussions that will take us through the second half...


But first, there are bagels and eggs scrambled in garlic butter and OMG JBM coffee. Anyone else having decadence for breakfast?

Garlic butter? Garlic butter?! Why have I never thought of that?

Roast a head of garlic in the oven*. Let it cool. Slip the cloves from the husk and put into food processor with one stick of room temperature (no longer hard to touch, but not soft) butter (NOT margarine!). Quickly blend until smooth, but don't overblend or let get goopy. Place in fridge to regain proper texture. If you're trying to be fancy, you can put it in a mold.

Can be used for scrambling eggs, making killer garlic bread, or just serving up at the table.

Roasted garlic is teh Yum.





*(cut off the top with a sharp knife. Drizzle with oil. Place in (ideally) a terra cotta baker, but anything with a lid will work. Bake for about an hour, or until your kitchen smells awesome.)

Thank you for the picture. I don't say go away ever to my Shadow. But she does anyway because the alternative is getting hugged. She doesn't like getting hugged. ;-)
