no, my plan is to only buy one, but I'll let Valerie read my copy.

when she wants to start loaning the book to others (as I believe she's done with the Wren and Sergei books), she'll likely buy a paperback copy for that purpose (because I rarely allow my hardcovers to leave the house).

That's part of why I'm hyperventilating. Oh dear oh dear oh dear, for all the reasons we've discussed in the past (you know me and my love of the mass market format...).

Going up to hardcover is an honor and etc but it's also a worry, especially in this economy. Still, the e-book edition is less expensive, and there will be retailer discounts, and I can honestly say that yes I think there is at least $21 worth of entertainment in the book....

It had been talked about from the beginning, but this was the first in-media confirmation (aka "more difficult for them to change their minds now"). I've seen formats switched around, so wasn't going to say anything... and then came across this while searching for something else and kinda fell over. *grin*

Mainly, tho, it's all about the "what? no! I'm not ready for it to be soliciting yet! It's still a baby! I haven't seen the copyedit yet!"

I was going to Kindle it (assuming I can - its not on Amazon yet), but since its your first Hardcover, I will have to buy two copies now I guess. First edition and all that for when you become totally famous.

BTW, subject to my first read through, a friend of mine is going to start flogging it at her winetasting parties if it's good. No pressure.
