Isn't it amazing how when you want them to sleep during the day they don't and when you are up and want company they just want to sleep? My two are the same way.

Ha! I have five.
This is what I do. I can't brush them "formally." Like when I take them into the bathroom and trim their nails, then comb/brush them. They act like I'm trying to skin them. They growl, hiss and bite. So I keep the brushes by my desk. When they come for attention, I brush them and THEY LOVE IT AND LET ME. When I'm done, they go. I now have well brushed cats.

At least they love you. My Shadow is no longer MY shadow. She only has eyes for the DH. *sigh* And she won't allow another cat in the house so I can't get another kitty for me. *heavy sigh*

Awwww, see they missed their mommy! No wonder Pandora wouldn't eat anything. Can you ask her to like me again? We used to get along so well, I don't what happened. :-(
