neadods picked me up in DC proper last night and took me out of the cold and into the Chophouse Brewery that had steak that couldn't be beat,and an interesting bourbon stout --and commemorative "Barack Bock" glasses. Yeah, we each got one. Kitcsh here we kome!
Today was spent preparing for the weekend (grocery store run, etc) and a stop at The BookThing of Baltimore. Free used books! An interesting back-to-the-community offering, for people who want to read more but can't afford the habit. All volunteer, all donation-driven, all honor system. Nea made a returns deposit,and I browsed th warehouse, exercising extreme restraint: remember thou art mortal. remember thou art out of bookshelves. Remember thou must haul them home...). Then back to Holly House to defrost, settle in with hot chocolate, and get to work. Which is where I will be as soon as I log off...
Oh, and Starbucks' chocolate-covered almonds with sea salt? Crack. OMG.....
