and here we have an example of the perfect writer/editor communication:

author: I hate this book. I have to shred it all and start again. You'd be okay with not getting the book until June, right?
editor: * whistles, ignores you *

ANYway. I have decided that The Muppet Show tells you everything you need to know about my generation-decade [too young to be Boomers, too old to be GenX]. Especially [livejournal.com profile] kradical. Seriously. Serious humor, leavened with bad puns, sexual innuendo, political awareness, social responsibility, and a sense that the Big Secret to Life is that Animal's the sanest one of us all.

So, to give us all a break from the wheee!stress fun times going on in the world.... if you were a muppet, who would you be?

Bonus question: Who would I be? ( If kradical is Fozzie, I'm Kermit, trying very hard to be the responsible and organized inmate of the madhouse... and often throwing my hands up in the air and giving in...

obviously, I am snarking from the balcony but whether I am Waldorf and Statler, I couldn't tell you. I suspect I'm Waldorf

[profile] kradical was about six months old when Sesame Street began, and has been watching it since then. He absolutely was shaped and formed by it, and the Muppet show.

Me? A cross between the rock and roll female muppet (Janice?) and the current one who is pink and has wings. I am a Gemini, we have two personalities.

The Swedish Chef

I always liked the Swedish Chef best, but I think I'd be Gonzo: strange love affairs, non-sequitirs, and a weird xenophilia.

I would be Scooter. In fact, that's my nickname as far as our drummer is concerned ... :)

As a kid I always wanted to grow up to be Gonzo.

I have. And am slowly turning into both of Waldorf AND Statler.

I grew up on The Muppets and have to agree with everything you said in here. Especially about Animal. :P

True story--when asked about career choices, I told my high school guidance counselor that I wanted to be a muppet.

"You want to be on TV?" he asked, trying to figure out which box he should check.

"No, just a muppet," I replied.

I used to identify with Beaker, but these days I'd be hanging out in the balcony with Waldorf and Statler.

According to the quiz, I'm Dr. Bunsen Honeydew:

In reality? A strange combination of Dr. Honeydew, Beaker, and the Swedish Chef.

Totally Miss Piggy. She has the best wardrobe and an exaggerated sense of her own importance.
Guilty on all counts. :D
Hugs and grins,

Just out of curiosity, what do you consider to be too young to be Boomer and too old to be X? Because that's where I consider myself to be (born in 1959 and decidedly not a Boomer), and Sesame Street was after my time.
