Very funny and sort of sad article in the NYT about Pres-Elect Obama having to give up his crackberry in the name of security. He fully intends to keep his laptop, tho, making himn First Pres Evah with a laptop in the Oval Office.

Wow. He really is One of Us, isn't he?

I hope they at least let him be BigO@whitehouse.gov.

And, for those of you wondering about La Puppy, Mei-Chan had her first appointment with the groomer this week. She's still disgustingly adorable.

There was also a picture of her snuggled into my arm, since she spent most of the afternoon sleeping in my lap while I worked, but all you can see is my arm and the back of her head. Trust me, it required insulin shots at the time.

Caena DESTROYED one of the two we originally got her already.}:P

She now has one twice that size, in the exact same color.}:P

Mei-mei loves that thing. First she shook and bit it until the stuffing was Just Right, then she removed the tail, and now she cuddles with the damn thing.

My mom said she considered the larger size but I think we'll wait until puppy grows a bit more...

Caena shakes it, chews the tags to pieces, then goes for the ears. Once they've submitted, she goes for the nose.}:P

Tug o' war is a fun game with her too.

She also sleeps with one, and will literally go in her kennel, pick it up and carry it out every morning.}:P



We's gotten her Halloween ones, a black one and a red one, that had horns and a pitchfork. The red one is dead, this is the one she sleeps with.}:P

Oh and a Kong Wubba. She sleeps with that too. LOL.

even better, she's very cat-like. And her bark is this little "grrrr-oof!" thing that she always seems surprised by, and doesn't use very often. If she were only twice the size, I might consider her the perfect dog....

oh, Mei-mei's not my puppy -- well, she's the Time Share Puppy. Details here. I just get to play with her and pup-sit and buy her toys.

(although she will be coming to visit this week. Who knows, maybe Boomer will finally have the playmate he always wanted....)
