greetings from Seattle!

Here I am, nicely settled in Chez Scarlettina, with Spanky curled up on the pillow next to me, waiting impatiently for me to finish typing and get back to petting him. No matter where I go, apparently, some aspects of my life remain constant.

Despite some early morning arghs, the flight here was lovely -- even the young child in my row was well-behaved and delightful, and I finished off some editing and even got a nap in. Arrived and was collected by scarlettina in a timely fashion, and had a walking tour of her neighborhood followed by an amazingly good dinner overlooking the night-dark harbor. And huckleberry pastry for dessert. OMG I'm still full.

Today is another full day of sightseeing,meeting some locals for dinner, and then my reading/signing at University Bookstore tonight at 7pm. If you're around, stop by!

And now His Royal Highness Prince Spanky wants his ears scritched. Later!
