Brian Thomsen

It's with great sorrow that I pass along the news that editor/anthologist Brian Thomsen has died, reportedly of a heart attack. Most recently an editor at Tor, he was at Warner during the Questar days, then at TSR, which was when I met him.

A good man, gone too soon.

I just met Brian last month at Gen Con. A friend introduced us. Brian knew off the top of my head who my agent was, my publisher, my editor, my previous publisher, my first novel ... blew me away how much information that man had stored in his brain. We didn't get to chat as much as I would have liked, but I enjoyed meeting him.

Damn.
