Just got the proofs and a cover flat for ReVisions, which contains my story "Site Fourteen." I'm third in the ToC, after Geoffrey Landis and Julie Czerneda. I'll take it.
ReVisions is, as the name implies, an anthology of 'alternate' stories. Some alternate history, some alternate futures... a lot of alternate science. Mine? What if the U.S. exploration impulse went down, not up?
The story's not too painfully bad, on re-reading (proofing is, to me, the worst torture in the world. I hate it all once it's set in type). So there may be hope for the damn thing yet. And not too many typos, which is nice to see.
Although I note that my bio is now woefully out of date, despite my sending them an updated one months ago. Ah well....
(and, having gotten through the proofing, I've rewarded myself by getting tickets to see the Artist formerly known as God [aka Clapton] at Madison Square Garden in June. Happiness. Poverty, but happiness.)
