lagilman: coffee or die (politics)

Back from the meeting. We're winning some battles but will inevitably lose the war. Ah well. It's a good way to bond with the neighbors.

And this, stolen shamelessly from Another Forum (aka the SFF.Net newsgroups)

>My favorite games in this vein are:
>1. Name That Romance Novel
>2. Name That Country/Western Tune
>3. Name That Blues Tune
>4. Name That Pedigreed Dog/Cat
>5. Name That Obscure Wine

my answers:

1. SWEET SAVAGE DUCK L'ORANGE (An Indian romance featuring a French Canadian
Maiden, and yes, we actually did suggest this title to Cassie Edwards via
her editor. Reportedly she laughed, then said "no." We were undaunted
and came up wth a series of titles about the Mallard tribe brothers...)
2. "I'm Just a Cowboy Who Can't Say Whoa."
3. "Slow-set Jello Blues"
4. Juliet's Tear Golden Sunset #122 out of Romeo Halitosis by Peroxide
Suicide (okay, I cheated, I went Thoroughbred. But it could work for a
Persian feline, too).
5. Dead Grape Squeezings Shiraz (it's tough to compete in a world where
there is already an Old Fart wine, a Big House wine [complete with jailbreaks
on the labels] a Fat Bastard wine, Cheap Red and Generic Red.)

SWEET SAVAGE DUCK L'ORANGE

I don't know whether to tell you to get therapy or get writing.

"I'm Just a Cowboy Who Can't Say Whoa."
