It's seriously warm outside, but doesn't feel quite as OMG Must Die Now hot as it did earlier in the wave. Still feeling lethargic and generally miserable, as per usual for 90-degree-plus days, tho (and when I'm in an air conditioned room, I feel less lethargic but more sore-throated and sinus-itchy, so it's a bad trade-off). It's been, what, five days? Six? This can all end now, thanks.

Anyway, despite the heat, I'm moving through the re-write for HARD MAGIC, incorporating beta-reader notes and my own comments-to-self into what will hopefully be a stronger final draft for Madame Editrix to see. So far, the only major rewrite has been *spoiler* and *semi-spoiler.* Plot, characterizations and pacing all seem to be hitting their marks. Meanwhile, Pandora is going through a Bitchy Abyssinian phase, as opposed to her Aloof Tabby Wench phase. The main difference is in pitch -- my normally silent sweetie is Talking. Nonstop. Not yowling, not stridently mrowing, but constant mrew, mrew, mrew, mrew?... Yes, sweetie, I know. I don't care. It's too hot to snuggle.
