Hrm. Apparently nobody here reads my short fiction. I feel like I should be more surprised by that than I am. Nonetheless, 1600 new words on the untitled pirate story, and I think I may know where it's going, if not exactly what it's going to do when it gets there.

Meanwhile...

Halp, I've been iPwned!

Yep, despite FedEx's best(worst?) efforts at incompetence, I'm now the proud owner of an iPod shuffle. It's wee, it's red, and it's very very cute. I think I will call it Melvin.

And now I have to go chase down more things that must be nailed to the wall...

Alas, I read very little short fiction. I've just never been as big a fan of the short form as some other people. I love novels and that's what I tend to seek out for pleasure.

I have both an iTouch, which I carry with me in my purse, and an iPod mini, which I carry around the house and plug into various radios and docks.
I absolutely love these toys. I love how they feel, I love how they work, I love having my music with me wherever I go. I have wasted a number of very contented hours making playlists, adding images, and doing other cool things with my iTunes.
Have fun with the wee red Shuffle.

I literally cannot walk and listen at the same time. I never wear the iPod whilst walking. I do listen on the train, and it is a lifesaver on airplanes, where I cannot read.

I read your snippet yesterday, but was waaaaay too drugged out to make any lucid comments. But you know I love *all* your work.

does your pirate story have Ninjas in it??

I understand through the gaming community that pirates are being given a run for their money by Ninjas.
