the new trailer (most of the same shots but some new angles and dialogue)

Also?

Yes. I know. You're welcome.

Dear Universe, don't let it suck. Let it not be unto the abomination of Indy2 but rather a wheeegigglejoyfest of 1 and 3. Especially 3. Please, Universe, let it not suck...

Now, now. Two had its moments, though I did have to leave the theater and check signage during the opening dance number. For a while there it really did look like Kate Capshaw was going to get burned to death, so that was nice. Also, the expression on Indy's face when he goes in to free the kids is excellent.

I've high hopes just because Karen Allen is going to be back, at least for a cameo.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeese don't let it suck. Please do not destroy my lovely and fragile childhood crush on Harison Ford. Help Shia, Shea, or however you spell that LeBuff kid's name, not suck as bad as he did in that show I watched of him as a kid. And please, please, make sure the computer graphics aren't as lame as that one shot makes them appear....

Shia LeBuff was supposed to be the bratty kid brother on the Disney Channel show. he's gotten much better reviews in the Transformers movie.

Yeah, I saw Transformers... and he did get great reviews... but he's one of those actors that's still Shia regardless of who he plays... which mean's he'll do well (look at Nicholas Cage and Gene Kelley... they never REALLY become another character, they become themselves plus a few personality quirks). Still... I worry. After Spiderman 2 and 3, and Star Wars 1, 2, and dear god 3, I'll always worry.

Ooh! Loved those movies. Except for the scene where they pulled the guys' heart out. Actually that particular film was the weakest in the franchise.

The kids at the library are so excited about this new movie. A little boy asked me for Indiana Jones books today. He asks me at least once a week. We have one, Indiana Jones explores the Incas in non-fiction. We're looking into ordering more, but with a limited budget, tie-ins don't always make the cut, especially tie-ins published 20 years ago (though there is some newer stuff) that wasn't that great to begin with. Then the little boy told me he was writing an Indiana Jones story at home and he was going to copy it and put it in the stores. Ah, if only publishing was that easy as this 8 year old believes it is. I told him that was fantastic, and I would love to see his story when he is done.
