you know your editor is Irish (if the name "Mary-Theresa" didn't give it away already) when you get an autoresponse e-mail of:

"I'm off to the parade on Monday--Happy St. Patrick's Day to all! I'll get back to you on Tuesday, or please contact(her assistant) if you need an immediate answer. Up the Kingdom!"

Back in my former life, I had a client who took March 17 as a personal day every year b/c it was her own personal National Holiday. To hear her tell it, she was drunk on Guinness before she even got to the parade.

Me, I'm not leaving the house today, no way ... :) I had my fill of being surrounded by foolen drunkery at SXSW all weekend, I'm done.

**grin** If that's Matrice Hussey (at Luna now, I think), say hello from me when you see her! I used to subscribe to her postings on the old GEnie service . . . "religiously" **ouch** (I couldn't resist the pun.) She also took one of my books to committee there, if I understood our interactions correctly. Cool person.

I used to take TODAY off every year because it's my feastday (birthday). Now that I'm unemployed, I don't bother. (GRIN)

I watched the NYC parade on the Travel Channel today, and it seemed that everyone in town was in it and that it went on for about four hours. Amazing!! And bagpipes!!
