Damn you,
rosenhaus, I woke up earwormed by the damn song!
A good day at Lunacon, starting with the memorial for
doychel (wherein I got to tell the story of the girl in the plastic skirt) before I had to scoot out for the first of my panels, and a pretty much non-stop day.
Everything went well (even when I had to throw myself on the grenade of moderating the "pitfalls" panel) and the "so five minutes ago" vampires panel was.... lively. Yes. Our poor moderator... (the audience seemed to have a good time, though, and we sure as hell did). Then my reading, which was a suprisingly full house, and my signing, which was not (but lots of people stopping by to talk, which was nice), rounded out by
rosenhaus's concert, with the LJ-less Pete H and
kradical accompanying. Great fun, even with the resulting earworm. And then a very good dinner and drinks with friends I haven't seen in too long, and home before it got too late, much to the relief of the felines, who apparently hadn't been fed since keithras* roamed the earth.
Today, I get to go back to the writing, and some Other Socialness. And maybe a nap.

I didn't mean to cause a big scene...
Date: 2008-03-17 04:13 am (UTC)Sorry about the earworm, really. I certainly didn't mean for that song to latch onto you like that. Actually I had hoped it would be one of my own songs, or at least "Shootin' With Rasputin," but what the hey.
In any case, you know the (alleged) "cure" for an earworm, right? Sing "Buffalo Gals Won't You Come Out Tonight." Loud. Apparently--I've never tried it--it stops the earworm in its wriggly tracks without replacing it.
See you soon?
