At Lunacon this afternoon, I was handed a contract (thus making it official after the "I like this, I want it" e-mail a few months ago) for my story "Wolfling" to go to Abyss & Apex.
(for those keeping track at home, this is a story in the "Dragon Virus" universe)
I also, on my way out the door, got in the mail my very first ever piece of fanart. Specifically, of P.B. *squeeeee!* I have been showing it around proudly, and the general reaction has been "how cool! And it's really good!"
As soon as I have the scanner set up, I will share it with y'all. :-)
And now I need to get some sleep, as tomorrow is a damn full day of conventioning...

Date: 2008-03-15 01:02 pm (UTC)Now that just sounds like it's made of cool.
...as far as fan art: I seem to recall making a masterpiece with snurched art from Retrievers #1 and The Bourne Identity years (OMG it's been years ago).
well, I think it's cool, yeah....

Date: 2008-03-15 01:43 pm (UTC)And do tell Lunacon people that I'm still alive and kicking. I wish so much I could have come, but Fielder still needs to be fed through his tube every 3 hours. Sigh. But I love him.
I think they're doing some memorial for Legault. If so, please let them know I wish I could have come: Robert was a dear friend, and I miss him every day. I was unable to go to the memorial in NY earlier this month, too (see above). Because of Robert, I started going to Boston-area cons. Because of Robert I was able to kvetch about ongoing projects/clients/etc and keep my sanity (and did the same for him). Because of Robert, I am the proud owner of a hot pink lava lamp. And our guest room is called "Robert's room" -- he was always here for weeks at a time, and it doesn't seem right without him visiting. Please let them all know this if it's (1) appropriate and (2) timely. Thanks, lady.
