Many, many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] kradical, [livejournal.com profile] terri_osborne, [livejournal.com profile] 0eris0, and [livejournal.com profile] quarkwiz, without whom today would not have been possible....or anywhere near as entertaining.

what the room looked like the first time I saw it, with the previous owner's furniture and decorations.

Painting in Progress.

It's too dark to take decent photos now, but the bedroom is now a lovely, soothing almond color, with touches of chocolate brown, sage green, and burgundy. And we, after pizza and a couple of bottles of wine, are collapsed.

I'll leave it to the participants to chime in with details, as they see fit [or not].

"Cheeeeeese, Grommit!"

Tomorrow, back to work.

It's the @#$@#4 Raphael angels that really make the ensemble.

We laughed. We cried. We killed the orange until it died.

Is that TheInfomancer's old (very old) bedsheet pressed into final duty as a dropcloth? An excellent use. Now, I am a ruffles and furbelows sort of person, but that bedroom was, er, much. Waiting impatiently for new pics.

Wow, she really did go for the frilly things, eh... FWIW, I agree with your decision to place the bed against the other wall.

Details? Hmm. "It's all Keith's fault!" ....but not really. We all created drippy bits that need to be sanded down. It was just easier to blame it on him when he wandered off to the dojo. ;-)

Your tub may not drain properly. I washed a LOT of dried-up latex off the paint trays and the little bucket. Your tub may have realized I was going to do this, and thus the preemptive strike of streaming water at me from the showerhead when I thought I was turning on the lower tap. While I was sitting in the tub with a paint tray. ::sploosh::

Should probably go to bed now, but I have this niggling feeling there's something else out there I need to paint. Where is it? Gimme some tape and a brush and point me at it! (I'm a freak. OK, bedtime.)

Well, the before is...interesting...but the after sounds much better.

(Though ooh, parquet floors!)
