Sunday not a day of rest, no.

I can haz bookcases! And bookses out of boxes and onto shelves! Suddenly, this place looks like an adult lives here. Very scary.

I also haz no car. *sniffle* (not, mind you, that I had been using Darcy much the past year, but it's still a pang to see someone else drive off with him...)

And now that housekeeping has been kept, I get to go to work!


Random bits of Riverdale: the diner down the street does a fabulous Hispanic-style sunday brunch, complete with fried salami, which is death the arteries but fabulousness to the tastebuds.

Random bits of writerlyness: Have been contemplating putting my never-before-published short story from the Arisia program book up here, and possibly also the Appreciation, assuming the author of the piece agrees. Any interest?

EtA: Pandora, having been deprived of a warm tv to sleep on, has claimed the oversized Chinese red silk pillow. Boomer, displaced from the bed, has taken over the blanket basket. And all is quiet and cat-nappy in Chateau Felidae.

EtA2: Wow. Snow.

Do you love it? Is it cozy and comfortable? Is it home? Delighted about the diner, and your proximity to Other Family Members, but what I really want to know is, do you love Chateau Felidae?

I really really want a flat-screen TV, but I have to get the other crew of The Yellow Submarine to agree with me, and so far the arguments of mine and those from Penny Lane have not prevailed.

I am content and happily nesting. Being the vaguely compulsive-if-lazy organizing mongoose I am, I will love it once I have it whipped into shape.

And flat-screen tvs and monitors are quite wonderful for the ever so much smaller footprint alone. The significantly reduced weight of the unit is also a plus.
