I'm going to try and send a copy to the cop in the first photo... it seems only fair, considering he put the kibbosh on the @ssholes behind us and I didn't get a chance to thank him. Anyone have any suggestions on how to track him down, or should I just forward it on to the NYPD PR department?
I'd send it through the PR department, and note that it looks as if he's badge #8090 (can't quite read the nametag, but enlarging it might work). If you don't give them a badge number, I doubt they'd even bother trying to find out who it is.
Correct, you will need an accurate badge number. An alternative route would be the NYPD FOP, which would actually probably better odds of actually getting it done.
Although I can't make out the unit ID on the officer in the picture, his badge number does appear to be 8090. My cousin is an NYPD captain. I can drop him an email, and see if he can offer some advice.
Hey, that cop is cute. :) I may cast him mentally in the NYPD cop role in the Negotiator books. :)
Like everybody else I was trying to read his nametag, but I bet the badge number is even more useful, all things considered. I hope you manage to get the photo to him!
