Talking about the holidays and whatnot, we noticed a very bad trend: we tend to let ourselves get worn down and stressed to where we needed a major indulgence to get us back on an even keel. And yet, all too often, the cost or size of that indulgence left us feeling guilty or more stressed, afterward -- or, worse yet, we didn't indulge for fear of the cost! How much better, we all agreed, if we could do something small, every week, to keep the stress at bay. Just a small, preferably inexpensive thing to make us go ahhhh..

Except who can think of 52 things to do, all year?

Maybe, it was suggested, what we needed was 52 (or more) people, each coming up with one idea?

Or even better yet, an entire community of people talking about ways to destress and indulge, male and female, sharing ideas and spreading the mellow....

Go, join. Share. Relax.

(I may be the maintainer-of-record, but I'm not going to be a comm-mommy. The point is to reduce stress, not add to mine!)

Lovely idea and perfect timing for me since I'm about to have another go at a 101 things in 1001 days list. That plus current book project = me needing all the relaxation help I can get!

This is a wonderful idea. I try to do small things for myself, small indulgences on a regular basis. I'm really looking forward to some new ideas.

This is a super idea and will remind us that it's important to do something for ourselves that is just for ourselves.

It always feels better when an indulgence is something permanent, like a CD or a knick-knack. Something you can enjoy long after the initial indulgence.

I Sim. It's an indulgence that is a timesink I can't really justify. Everything else I do, I rationalize so that it becomes a necessity. I like it better that way.
