You are Cleopatra of the Nile. The great
biographer of the time, Plutarch, wrote of
Cleopatra, 'Her actual beauty, it is said, was
not in itself so remarkable that none could be
compared with her, or that no one could see her
without being struck by it, but the contact of
her presence, if you lived with her, was
irresistible . . . It was a pleasure merely to
hear the sound of her voice, with which, like
an instrument of many strings, she could pass
from one language to another . . .' You have a
spark in you that draws other people to you.
Indeed, you are drawn to others because you are
always curious. People can talk to you; and
you have a passion in life to know, live, love,
and learn. Please rate my quiz.

You are Nzingha; Warrior Queen of Matamba. You
feel that to prove you are not weak, you must
be exactly like a man. You are a free spirit

Hrmmm. Considering that I'm quite happy being female, and in fact have never had any desire to be 'exactly like a man' I have to wonder about the attitudinal skews of this quiz. Especially since the difference between the two answers was speaking my mind and damn the political fallout (result #1) or not saying anything and moving on (result #2). Which, okay, is very much a guy trait, now that I think on't...

Date: 2004-03-25 08:31 pm (UTC)But the answer choices were kind of...young-girl-thinking in their construction, I thought. Where was the "if the doofus prince says something nasty about women ruling in the language he doesn't know I speak, I smile and purposely conceal my knowledge of the language so that later during trade negotiations I can listen to all his secrets he's blabbermouthy enough to tell and serve my country's purposes thereby" answer choice? THAT'S a female ruler choice, if you ask me.
My server also wouldn't load the other possible answers so I don't know what other female rulers were choices. Didn't SEEM to be any Lucrezia Borgia or Elizabeth, Countess of Bathory-type answers from what I saw...(grin)
